Brandon Hess

Co-Founder / Executive Producer

Brandon Hess is a co-founder and executive producer at Tucker/Hess Productions.

He was born and raised in Pennsylvania, holds a Film degree from The Pennsylvania State University, and an M.F.A. from the American Film Institute in Film Directing.  His short, SARAH, won the Best Short in Children’s Advocacy at the Artivist Film Fest, HONOR: PASS IT ON, won the Great American Video Contest (and a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee).  His thesis film, FIRST IN FLIGHT, stars 2-time Emmy-Winner Tony Hale, Aaron Farb, and is scored by the late 2-time Academy Award-Winning composer James Horner.  The film premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre to a packed house, went onto tour, win and hold honors at multiple film festivals.

In the process, he also fell in love with and married the film’s producer — Tara Tucker.

Together, they co-wrote a feature script under the same title, FIRST IN FLIGHT, currently in development. Shortly after their wedding in 2014, they founded their production company, where they produce and direct commercials, music videos, and digital content for a global client base.  Brandon has directed commercials and content for clients ranging from GOOGLE, HOT WHEELS, VANS, YOKOHAMA, EPIC AIRCRAFT, to one featured primetime on ABC’S SHARK TANK.

His feature script, THE HELPERS, a supernatural thriller, is currently in preproduction, and he is set to direct.  Brandon has a contagious passion for film and believes it can make powerful, positive contributions to the world we share.
